We Love What We Do

Dry River Ranch Stallion Station is located in Weatherford, Texas, and is a premier boutique breeding facility known for exceptional attention to detail and hands-on stallion care.

Not only do we collect each stallion, but maintain top condition of your horse, including turnouts every other day. Dry River is situated on 30 gorgeous acres, just 30 minutes from the Will Rogers Coliseum and the Dallas Fort Worth Airport. Weatherford is a prime location for AQHA training and breeding facilities, blessed with some of the best equine reproduction veterinarians in the country (including top ICSI labs).

Meet Stephen and Terry

Stephen Stephens

If you’ve been in the AQHA world for a while, you’ve probably heard the name Stephen Stephens. As owner of Dry River Ranch, he’s more than qualified for the job, with a variety of equine accomplishments and accreditations under his belt. 

Stephen served as past president of the NSBA and The Texas Quarter Horse Association. He is a past AQHA National Director, and holds a judges card for the AQHA and APHA. Steven has judged multiple shows over the years, including the AQHA World Show and many of the top 10 AQHA shows. 

A Co-Founder of the NSBA Foundation, Stephen is current president of the Super Sires program, and chaired The Breeders Champion Futurity at the NSBA. He stays involved in their Stallion Incentive, Heroes on Horses, and Equestrians With Disabilities programs as well.

Terry Cross

Terry Cross has been and has coached numerous World Champions and Congress Champions. Besides being a top trainer and coach, Terry Cross also has judged both the AQHA and NSBA World Shows. Terry cross holds a Judging card in each Association.
